Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Team Leader to join our team at Schreiber Foods. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading the maintenance team and ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives to improve efficiency and productivity
  • Lead the maintenance team in the operation of plant energy systems, production mechanics, electrical/electronics, and facilities maintenance
  • Administer the preventive maintenance program and emergency repair of production equipment and support facilities
  • Coordinate projects and routine efforts with various plant departments
  • Define required resources and establish action plans to ensure controls are built into schedules
  • Prepare data and calculations for expenditure estimates and administer labor and repair budgets
  • Make recommendations for equipment placement and modifications
  • Coordinate installation of new equipment and renovation of existing equipment and facilities
  • Coordinate training and development programs, including safety programs
  • Monitor developmental progress and develop plans for improving performance
  • Participate in systems analysis, automation feasibility, and justification studies
  • Produce working drawings of equipment and floor plans
  • Investigate new technology in production methods and recommend application
  • Develop and administer energy conservation programs
  • Ensure compliance with Food Safety and Food Quality Plans and customer requirements
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Food/Dairy, Science, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field (Associate's degree in a technical field considered)
  • 3 years of experience in industrial work
  • General computer skills, mechanical aptitude, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work nights and travel up to 5%
