Position Overview
Recognized as a Top Workplace
Cooper Auto Group is currently seeking both entry-level and experienced Automotive Service Technicians. This role will primarily involve performing essential maintenance tasks, including but not limited to: oil changes, fluid checks, and inspections of belts, filters, brakes, and tires. Comprehensive training will be provided to all new hires.
The ideal candidate should possess a high school diploma or GED, along with training from an automotive trade school or relevant experience. A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is essential, as well as the physical ability to perform the required tasks. Candidates should be able to thrive in a fast-paced team environment and exhibit a positive attitude, professional demeanor, and excellent communication skills, all while delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and replenish all fluids and maintenance-related components as necessary.
- Conduct routine service inspections and execute standard maintenance tasks.
- Maintain the cleanliness of vehicles during service or repair activities.
- Ensure all required documentation is completed in accordance with industry regulations and standards.
- Adhere to all shop policies, procedures, safety protocols, and environmental guidelines.
- Contribute to maintaining a safe and organized shop environment by performing tasks such as inventory management and general upkeep.
- Participate in all required staff meetings, training sessions, and educational opportunities.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
- High school diploma or GED; automotive technician training preferred.
- One year of relevant experience is advantageous.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record.
- Professional appearance and demeanor are essential.
- Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal abilities.
- Dependable and highly professional.
- Safety-oriented with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Basic computer and internet proficiency.
- Physical capability to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as required.
