Job Summary:

St Mary Medical Center Long Beach is seeking an experienced MedSurg nurse for a travel contract. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical-surgical nursing and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality patient care to a diverse population
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Monitor and manage patient conditions, including pneumonia, COPD, diabetes, ESRD, and cellulitis
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Float to MedSurg 5 and Tele 7 units as needed, with skills required for read strips and drips

Requirements:

  • 2 full years of experience in MedSurg nursing
  • Active BLS certification
  • CA License
  • Cerner experience required
  • Ability to read strips when floated to Med/Tele Floor
