Position: Staff Endodontist

Location: North Little Rock, Arkansas

The Staff Endodontist will play a crucial role within the Central Arkansas Veterans Health Care System (CAVHS) Dental Service, delivering exceptional patient care while adhering to high performance standards. Candidates who are in the process of fulfilling educational or licensure requirements may be considered for provisional selection, pending completion of all necessary qualifications.

Essential Qualifications:
  1. Doctor of Dental Surgery or dental medicine degree from an accredited institution.
  2. Completion of a residency in general practice or a specialty area, or equivalent experience in treating medically compromised patients.
  3. Possession of a current, unrestricted dental license in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States.
Desirable Experience:
  • Specialized experience in Endodontics.
  • Completion of an Endodontics Residency Program.
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to lift moderate weights, up to 45 pounds.
  • Capability to perform light lifting, under 15 pounds.
  • Proficiency in walking, standing, and kneeling.
  • Capacity for rapid mental and muscular coordination.
  • Correctable near and far vision.
  • Ability to differentiate colors and shades.
  • Hearing ability (hearing aids may be acceptable).
Key Responsibilities:

The Staff Endodontist will be responsible for:

  • Delivering patient care that is compassionate, suitable, and effective.
  • Exhibiting knowledge of biomedical, clinical, and social sciences.
  • Utilizing scientific evidence and methodologies to enhance patient care.
  • Collaborating with Dental Hygienists, Dental Assistants, and Dental Lab Technicians.
  • Conducting Endodontic surgical interventions and minor invasive procedures.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm
