Job Title: Skateboarding InstructorJoin our team as a Skateboarding Instructor at BSA Summit Group, where you will have the opportunity to share your passion for skateboarding with others and help them develop their skills.
About the RoleWe are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to lead our skateboarding program. As a Skateboarding Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching skateboarding skills to participants of all ages and skill levels.
Key Responsibilities- Present a skateboarding program through cheerful, helpful, and efficient service
- Demonstrate skillful wheel sports abilities and teach customers how to achieve these skills
- Provide intentional and cheerful instruction to novice riders in BMX/skate
- Assist in the set up and takedown of BMX/skate facilities
- Ensure the safety of all participants in skateboard/BMX activities
- Turn paperwork into supervisor accurately and timely
- Assist other wheel programs as needed
- Maintenance of Skate/BMX equipment and facilities
- Maintain a clean, organized, inspected, neat and safe work area
- 18 years of age or older
- Preferred: Experience teaching or riding skateboarding or BMX
- Preferred: Experience maintaining skateboards or bikes
- Preferred: Experience maintaining skateparks or BMX tracks
- Ability to use Microsoft Teams daily for work-related communication and coordination
- Be or become a registered member of Scouting America
- Completes contract period with 2-4 positive experiences
- Receive one or more Staff Appreciation Cards from staff or participants
- Provide at least one memorable moment that matters to a participant
- Contribute at least one improvement to the Skate/BMX program
Up to 8 hours a day of either standing, walking, hiking, and the ability to lift 50 lbs.
