Accounting Manager Assistant Job Description

Heritage Companies is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager Assistant to join our team at the Eldorado Hotel & Spa in Santa Fe, NM. As an Accounting Manager Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the daily income audit process to ensure all incomes are correctly posted through property management and point of sale systems.
  • Review and record complimentary item records to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare daily cash deposits and manage petty cash to maintain a secure and organized financial environment.
  • Audit all house banks on a monthly basis and maintain accurate records.
  • Monitor guest ledgers and open balances to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Code and obtain approval on all incoming Accounts Payable invoices, forwarding them to Corporate A/P for processing.
  • Verify and submit tipped employee payroll information to Corporate Payroll department on a bi-weekly basis.
  • Assist the property GM with forecasting using established software platforms and review monthly General Ledger and financial statements as prepared by Corporate Controller.

Requirements:

  • Hotel front desk or hotel accounting experience is preferred but not required.
  • The ideal candidate will possess a positive, creative energy, be a self-starter, detail-oriented, and highly organized.
