Position Overview
As a Lead Bioanalytical Scientist at KCAS Bio, you will engage in vital research that influences our industry and contributes to global health. Your role will involve innovative problem-solving and advancing our mission through the supervision of comprehensive studies.
Key Responsibilities
In this position, you will:
- Operate autonomously as a Principal Scientist, guiding the execution of bioanalytical validations and studies.
- Oversee laboratory operations and mentor research personnel in protocol interpretation, method enhancement, and study-related issue resolution.
- Conduct independent reviews and analyses of study results, collaborating with research teams and sponsors.
- Prepare high-quality final reports, integrating subcontractor reports as necessary.
- Supervise scientific staff, ensuring effective performance and adherence to departmental policies.
- Provide scientific leadership to address analytical challenges and assess new technologies for integration into our services.
- Monitor the technical performance of team members through coaching and mentoring.
- Attend scientific conferences and training to enhance professional skills and maintain visibility in your area of expertise.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- A Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in a relevant field.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in contract research, academia, or the pharmaceutical industry, with a focus on validation and bioanalysis.
- Comprehensive knowledge of GLPs and departmental SOPs.
- Experience in designing and executing bioanalytical assays, method development, and validation.
- Proficiency with common immunoassay platforms.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
