About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Computed Tomography Technologist to join our team at Ascension. As a key member of our imaging department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Responsibilities
  • Perform computed tomographic procedures for the diagnosis of disease and injury, adhering to protocols established by radiologists.
  • Prepare and position patients, selecting anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
  • Administer contrast media and/or medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Monitor patient activity during procedures and report any abnormalities.
  • Stay up-to-date with radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date required.
  • Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) required.
  • One or more of the following certifications required: Nuclear Medical Tech from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB), Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), or Radiologic Technologist specializing in Computed Tomography from the ARRT.
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience, Associate's degree/Technical degree, or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
