Position Overview: A2H is currently in search of a Senior Civil Engineer for our Lakeland, TN office, who possesses robust design and project management expertise. The ideal candidate will undertake the following responsibilities:
- Oversee project management and engineering design for civil engineering initiatives.
- Manage and contribute to all stages of various civil engineering projects, including design development, preparation of presentation drawings and specifications, design review, and coordination of construction documents.
- Facilitate project team coordination to ensure design intent is accurately reflected in construction documentation, specifications, and during construction administration.
- Engage with clients, regulatory bodies, and agencies to cultivate strong professional relationships.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including meeting notes, financial records, client correspondence, and project schedules.
- Prepare and verify the accuracy of technical documents through Quality Assurance reviews at various project phases.
- Exhibit proven leadership capabilities along with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Participate in planning, cost estimation, and scheduling for assigned projects.
- Engage in marketing and business development activities, including the creation of project proposals and providing technical expertise.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an accredited four-year institution.
- Registered Engineer; licensure in the state of Tennessee is strongly preferred.
- Ability to obtain professional engineering registration in multiple states.
- A minimum of seven (7) years of experience as a civil engineer.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to interact professionally and build excellent interpersonal relationships.
- Demonstrated experience in client interactions and team leadership.
- Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microstation; skilled in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Solid understanding of civil engineering principles, practices, and techniques.
