Position Summary
The ideal candidate will oversee production processes and conduct regular quality control assessments to guarantee that our operations and products adhere to both company and industry standards, while complying with all USDA regulations. This position requires availability from Monday to Friday, with the possibility of weekend and overtime work as necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-operation inspections of facilities and equipment prior to the commencement of production.
- Perform ATP and environmental swabbing on equipment to monitor bacterial levels.
- Carry out thermometer calibrations.
- Execute allergen testing procedures.
- Monitor Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to ensure compliance with hygiene standards.
- Engage in Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) monitoring.
- Verify metal detection systems.
- Inspect products and production lines to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
- Conduct product testing, including pH, moisture content, and consistency assessments.
- Undertake additional duties and projects as assigned.
Education Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in a food processing setting.
- Basic proficiency in computer skills.
- Professional demeanor and work ethic.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in a meat processing environment.
- Bilingual candidates (Spanish) are encouraged to apply.
- HACCP Certification is a plus.
