Job Summary

Network Human Services is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Lead Direct Support Professional to join our team. As a key member of our residential program, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and support to our residents, while also supervising and training direct support staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Resident Care and Support: Provide high-quality care and support to residents, including assistance with daily living activities, medication administration, and recreational activities.
  • Staff Supervision and Training: Supervise and train direct support staff, including providing guidance on resident care and support, and ensuring compliance with agency policies and procedures.
  • Scheduling and Staffing: Assist with scheduling and staffing, including arranging emergency coverage and shift coverage.
  • Recreation and Leisure: Oversee monthly recreation and leisure schedules, and assist with planning and implementing resident-centered activities.
  • Client Programming: Oversee client programming during manager's off-hours, and provide on-call coverage as needed.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Develop and maintain relationships with residents, family members, and other stakeholders, and communicate effectively with manager and other team members.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with agency policies and procedures, and participate in quality assurance activities, including reviewing and documenting resident and residence electronic health records.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Certifications: Medication certification, First Aid, CPR, PMT, Abuse/Neglect, and other relevant certifications.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and proficiency in electronic health record systems.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a direct support role, with supervisory experience preferred.
