Job Description

Adesta, an Allied Universal Company, is seeking a skilled Union Fiber Splicer to perform fiber splicing, testing, troubleshooting, and other construction activities. Key responsibilities include:

  • Splicing optical fiber using single fiber and ribbon fusion splicing
  • Building various types of fiber optic splice enclosures
  • Installing, troubleshooting, splicing, mid-sheathing, and repairing Fiber Optic Cable
  • Interfacing with customers to assess, identify, correct, repair, and test connections
  • Testing Fiber Optic Cable using a Power Meter and optical time domain reflectometer (OTDR)
  • Aerial experience of dressing, lashing, and snow shoeing Fiber Optic Cable
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent
  • At least 3 years of splicing experience
  • Technical training or experience is a plus
  • A valid driver's license
