Job Summary

This position provides direct clinical mental health services and intensive collateral support to youth who are involved in Ramsey County Juvenile Probation services and their families.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct clinical mental health services and intensive collateral support to justice-involved youth.
  • Provide therapy services in various settings, including drop-in, in-home, clinic, probation office, juvenile detention center, telehealth, or community settings.
  • Build relationships and develop rapport necessary to engage youth in mental health services, intervene appropriately in crisis situations, and empower others with the skills to respond to crisis.
  • Establish healthy and appropriate physical and emotional boundaries with youth and their families and provide services in a culturally responsive and linguistically appropriate manner.
  • Complete Diagnostic Assessments, make treatment recommendations, and connect youth and their families to appropriate services and resources.
  • Provide services in a culturally responsive and linguistically appropriate manner.
  • Participate in program staff meetings to provide a mental health lens and clinical insight to situations, youth, and larger system needs.
  • Attend Ramsey County Juvenile Justice Case Consult meetings monthly and submit monthly reports in compliance with contract reporting requirements.
  • Attend and participate in organizational staff meetings, team consultation, and supervision as required.
  • Complete the Diagnostic Assessment, treatment plan, collateral documentation, and all required charting and insurance documentation in a timely manner consistent with DHS and billing requirements.
  • Meet grant-specific productivity standards/target as set by department manager and supervisor.
  • Keep up to date with current changes in the field through the use of supervision, appropriate conferences, training, in-services, and reading.
  • Practice and uphold the ethical guidelines of your licensing board.
  • Uphold agency written policies concerning employment, client confidentiality, minor consent law, drug-free workplace, ethical standards, and other policies of the agency.
Qualifications
  • Licensed as LMFT, LICSW, or LPCC in the state of MN.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience required working effectively with diverse children and families from the socio-economic and cultural groups represented in our community.
  • Experience with justice-involved youth, probation, or restorative justice.
  • Knowledge of Diagnostic Assessments, treatment planning, and billing for psychotherapy.
  • Ability to work independently, use time effectively, work under stress, and intervene appropriately in crisis situations.
  • Proven experience successfully intervening in crisis situations.
  • Ability to successfully collaborate across agencies receiving services.
  • Demonstrated ability to work and communicate effectively with people of diverse ethnic, economic, racial, and cultural backgrounds.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, current automobile insurance, and acceptable driving record required.
Benefits

The pay rate for this position is between $35-37 an hour, based on qualifications and licensure. Face to Face offers benefits, including health, dental, short-term disability, long-term disability, life insurance, 403b account, as well as 23 days of PTO and 11 paid holidays.
