Supplemental Health Care is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as a Labor and Delivery Nurse for a travel assignment in a hospital setting. As a Labor and Delivery Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to expectant mothers and their newborns.
Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized care to patients in the labor and delivery unit, including prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by the healthcare team.
- Assist with deliveries and provide postpartum care to new mothers.
- Document patient information and care provided in the medical record.
Requirements:
- Current Registered Nurse license in the state of New Mexico.
- Experience in Labor and Delivery nursing, preferably in a hospital setting.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift and move patients as needed.
