Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Vascular Sonographer II to join our team at Houston Methodist Specialty Physician Group. As a key member of our direct patient care team, you will be responsible for performing ultrasound exams, vascular pathology, and physiology, and serving as a mentor to Technologist I's and students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct assistance to physicians with diagnostic/special procedures and deliver exceptional patient care.
  • Collaborate with the patient care team by actively communicating and reporting pertinent patient care information and data.
  • Apply vascular sonography knowledge and skills to each clinical situation.
  • Ensure all imaging equipment has had QC performed as required and is in safe working order prior to use.
  • Participate in departmental projects and shared governance activities.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an education program approved by the credentialing body for the required credential(s).
  • ARRT-VS - Radiologic Technologist - Vascular Sonography (ARRT) or equivalent.
  • Basic computer knowledge and ability to operate multiple computer systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and team player skills with all levels of the healthcare team.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with patients, physicians, family members, and co-workers.
Work Environment

This position may require travel within the Houston Metropolitan area.
