Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Substance Abuse Counselor to join our team at Management & Training Corporation (MTC). As a key member of our treatment program, you will play a vital role in helping offenders overcome chemical dependency and achieve a healthy, productive life.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning and coordinating chemical dependency counseling programs
  • Provide comprehensive evaluations and assessments to determine offender recovery needs
  • Develop and implement individual treatment plans based on offender characteristics and program standards
  • Lead counseling and recovery skills training sessions, as well as participate in offender orientation and educational groups
  • Maintain accurate records and submit reports as required
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Major course work in Criminal Justice, Behavioral Science, or a related field preferred
  • Four years of full-time wage-earning experience in substance abuse treatment, or equivalent experience and education
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) or Qualified Credentialed Counselor (QCC) by the Texas Department of State Health Services
