About the Role
SAIC is seeking a highly skilled GMF Subject Matter Expert to join our team and contribute to the modernization of the IRS Generalized Mainline Framework (GMF) application. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, integration, testing, and deployment of a GMF Modernized Application.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Modernization Effort: Provide direction to the program in the areas of architecture, development, and modernization of the GMF Application, as well as developmental O&M upgrades.
- Technical Expertise: Work with Unisys OS 2200 systems using COBOL (UCOB), DMS, RDMS, ECL, and other core Unisys OS 2200 Mainframe technologies.
- Application Architecture: Develop physical and logical architecture, leveraging client templates and processes.
- Team Collaboration: Provide guidance to the team during the modernization effort, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Qualifications
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree and 14 years of experience (4 years experience in lieu of degree) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Technical Skills: At least 14 years of work experience demonstrating knowledge of Unisys ClearPath OS 2200, COBOL (UCOB), DMS, RDMS, TIP, ECL, InfoConnect, and other core Unisys OS 2200 Mainframe technologies.
- Application Development: At least 10 years' experience with the GMF Application (or similar IRS Tax Processing Applications) and large enterprise application development methodologies with at a minimum of 5 years using Agile.
- Cloud Technologies: Understanding of Cloud Technologies (AWS, Azure, etc.)
- IRS Applications: Knowledge of IRS applications on IBM z/OS Platform
