Job Overview:
As a Cook I, your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all preparation items are meticulously prepared and stored according to established specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the quality and consistency of all food served.
  • Complete all tasks 30 minutes prior to service.
  • Understand and adhere to all standard recipes.
  • Ensure timely availability of all necessary food supplies for service.
  • Prepare a variety of sweet items, including pastries, cakes, breads, and chocolates for various outlets and events.
  • Keep the walk-in, prep area, and equipment compliant with Health Department standards at all times.
  • Assist in the production and presentation of banquet pastries.
  • Work efficiently under pressure to meet production schedules.
  • Organize, prioritize, and delegate tasks effectively.
  • Create visually appealing and artistic food presentations.
  • Perform job functions with minimal supervision.
  • Collaborate effectively with the culinary team.
  • Adhere to food preparation handling and storage standards.
  • Support procedures for food and beverage portion control and waste management.
  • Follow proper food handling and temperature protocols.
  • Execute additional duties as assigned to meet operational needs.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to think clearly, remain calm, and resolve issues with sound judgment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times.
  • Basic math skills for recipe and measurement comprehension.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Exhibit a professional appearance, attitude, and performance.
  • Capability to lift, carry, push, pull, and move objects weighing up to 70 pounds without assistance. Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods and perform repetitive motions.
