Position Overview:
We are in search of committed Special Education Teachers who are passionate about fostering learning and growth in students with unique educational requirements. This role involves working in a supportive environment, collaborating with a team of educational professionals to create a nurturing atmosphere for students.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct individualized assessments to evaluate student behavior and learning progress annually.
2. Deliver tailored instruction to each student, tracking and analyzing their progress towards IEP objectives on a daily basis.
3. Collaborate with Behavior Analyst Supervisors to adjust educational strategies and objectives based on student performance.
4. Assist in the development of curriculum and behavioral procedures to be implemented in the classroom.
5. Supervise and mentor teacher aides in applying behavioral techniques effectively.
6. Ensure adherence to educational programs and accurate data recording.
7. Model appropriate classroom behavior for all staff members.
8. Maintain comprehensive records of student progress and IEP updates, analyzing data regularly.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Education or Special Education.
- Valid NYS Teaching Certificate in Special Education.

$35.00 per hour

8-hour shifts
Experience:
Preferred experience in special education: 1 year
Certification:
Special Education Certification is required.
Work Environment:
This position requires in-person engagement with students.
