Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Restoration Technician to join our team at SERVPRO of Cedar Mill/Oak Hills. As a Restoration Technician, you will be responsible for performing restoration processes to fulfill the service needs of individual restoration projects and maintaining the professional appearance of SERVPRO equipment and assigned service vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare rooms/areas for work activities, setting up staging areas and equipment for each project.
  • Perform production processes following SERVPRO production guidelines per work order per crew chief directions.
  • Ensure clear two-way communication with the crew chief and other technicians, particularly regarding customer needs and concerns.
  • Perform end-of-day/end-of-job cleanup and breakdown, leaving the job site with a clean and orderly appearance.
  • Inventory and load the work vehicle with equipment, products, and supplies needed for each project, maintaining a clean and organized vehicle and clean equipment appearance.
  • Perform restoration processes as directed.
  • Adhere to safety and risk management guidelines at all times.
  • Communicate with supervisor and other technicians to maintain efficient restoration processes.
  • Maintain an organized warehouse space, cleaning and maintaining the warehouse, office, and grounds as assigned.
  • Develop restoration expertise in services, cleaning products, and equipment.
  • Other tasks/duties as required by employer.
  • Assist with production rotating nights and weekends emergency on-call schedule.
Requirements
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds regularly, occasionally up to 100 pounds with assistance.
  • Ability to climb ladders, work at ceiling heights, work in tight spaces (e.g., crawl spaces, attics).
  • Ability to sit/stand/walk for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability to work with/around cleaning products/chemicals.
  • Ability to travel locally and out of state when necessary.
  • Ability to successfully complete a background check subject to applicable laws.
  • Effective oral communication.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Experience in cleaning/restoration preferred.
  • High school diploma/GED.
  • IICRC certifications preferred.
Work Environment

Regularly lifting 50 pounds independently, occasionally lifting up to 100 pounds with assistance, walking and standing for long periods of time, driving, sitting, climbing ladders, working at ceiling heights, working in tight spaces (i.e. crawl spaces, attics), repetitive pushing/pulling/lifting/carrying objects, working with and around chemicals, and working overhead.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions such as heat, noxious odors, etc. The noise level in the work environment and jobsites may be loud. The employee will be required to occasionally wear a respirator for their safety.
