Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate tax returns: individual, corporate, and partnership income tax returns, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and deadlines.">
  • Review financial data: analyze financial statements, tax documents, and other data to ensure accuracy and completeness of returns.">
  • Assist with tax strategies: collaborate with partners and managers on tax planning strategies and provide recommendations to clients, including advice on tax implications, credits, and deductions.">
  • Manage junior staff: mentor and manage junior staff, providing guidance, training, and review of their work.">
  • Excellent communication: communicate effectively with clients, addressing inquiries and providing proactive advice.">
  • Stay updated on tax laws: stay up-to-date with current tax laws, regulations, and industry best practices to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for clients.">
  • Special projects: assist with special projects as needed, including IRS audits, business restructurings, and tax research.">
  • Qualifications:">
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master's degree in Taxation is a plus.">
  • CPA designation or progress towards obtaining one is highly preferred.">
  • 3+ years of tax preparation experience, preferably with a reputable accounting firm.">
  • Salary Range: $60,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience.">
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations for individuals, corporations, and partnerships.">
  • Proficient in tax software (e.g., ProSystem fx, UltraTax) and Microsoft Office Suite.">
