Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver safe and effective nursing care to pediatric patients with minimal guidance, based on identified principles and standards of care.
  • Collaborate with clinical medical providers to assess and treat patients, and provide daily patient care.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, such as complying with administrative policies and clinical protocols.
  • Triages patient calls using Barton Schmidt pediatric protocols and national telehealth standards.
  • Administers medications as prescribed by the provider and performs phlebotomy to obtain blood specimens.
  • Provides age and developmentally appropriate care to primary care patients.
Requirements
  • BSN preferred, with a commitment to obtaining a BSN within 3 years of hire for Associate Degree Nurses and within 4 years for Diploma Nurses.
  • Must have or be eligible for a DE nursing license.
  • Pediatric Office Nurse experience required, with a preference for phone triage experience.
  • BLS Certification with the American Heart Association required.
  • 3-5 years of job-related experience.
Work Schedule

Monday through Friday, 30 hours per week, between 7:30am and 5:00pm. No evening or weekend shifts, but flexibility may be required based on department needs.
