Amazon Lab126 is a leading research and development company designing and engineering cutting-edge consumer electronics. As a Sr. Software Development Engineer - Bluetooth, you will collaborate with experienced cross-disciplinary teams to conceive and design innovative products. Your ownership can span across application, device framework, connectivity stack, drivers, and low-level wireless controller coexistence and scheduler algorithms.

You will work closely with product management, hardware, operations, application, platform, cloud, and quality assurance teams. Key responsibilities include:

  • Working with product management and cross-functional teams to provide technical solutions for desired user experiences.
  • Implementing the right Bluetooth metrics to effectively monitor KPIs, error & usage statistics, developing debug tools, and integrating with backend solutions to continuously measure and improve on our solutions.
  • Implementing and providing test recommendations and tools for QA, HW, and factory teams.
  • Implementing high-quality Bluetooth stacks, middleware frameworks, and application features.
  • Implementing applications on mobile devices to communicate with Amazon devices over Bluetooth links.

The ideal candidate should have:

  • 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language.
  • 5+ years of leading design or architecture of new and existing systems experience.
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team.

We offer competitive compensation packages, including base pay ranging from $151,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $261,500/year in our highest geographic market.
