Position Overview

Metro Industrial Services is actively looking to fill several Molding and Assembly Technician roles for a manufacturing client. This is a temporary contract position.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate injection molding machinery
  • Install dies using clamps, bolts, and hand tools
  • Adjust machine controls for optimal performance
  • Feed premixed materials into the machine hopper and initiate operation
  • Close dies and inject materials into molds
  • Trim excess material from finished products
  • Mix thermoplastic materials and color pigments as needed
  • Process scrap plastic for reuse

Compensation:

1st Shift: $16.38/hour

2nd Shift: $16.88/hour

3rd Shift: $17.13/hour


Work Schedule:

1st Shift: Monday - Friday, 6:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

2nd Shift: Monday - Friday, 2:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.

3rd Shift: Monday - Friday, 10:00 p.m. - 6:00 a.m.

Guaranteed 8 hours of overtime each week.


Candidate Requirements:
  • Experience in injection molding is advantageous but not mandatory
  • Consistent attendance is essential
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required
  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
