Job Summary

As a Corporate Litigation Attorney at American Advanced Management, you will serve as counsel of record, representing various healthcare facilities under our management. Your primary responsibility will be to handle full case responsibility from intake to trial preparations, with a focus on litigation needs.

This is an in-house position, and you may be required to work remotely and occasionally travel. You will report directly to senior corporate counsel and executive management.

Key qualifications include a California State Bar license, 1-5 years of hands-on litigation experience, and admission to all California Courts. Additional preferred experience includes actual trial, arbitration, and mediation, labor commissioner, administrative law, healthcare/patient collections, malpractice, elder abuse, and negligence.

Responsibilities

  • Employment litigation defense, including wrongful termination, harassment, discrimination, and wage and hour cases.
  • Conduct internal investigations with respect to active litigation, demand letters, and HR complaints.
  • Business/commercial litigation, including customer/vendor disputes, mostly defense, some prosecution.
  • Autonomous work, including research, preparing and filing complaints, and communicating with employees and management.
  • Preparing correspondence and documents, filing, typing, and using computer software.
  • Coordinating special projects as directed.
  • Read and analyze incoming memos, submissions, and reports to determine their significance and plan response.
  • File and retrieve corporate documents, records, and reports.
  • Compile data and prepare papers for consideration and presentation by executives, committees, and Boards of Directors.
  • Conduct interviews with employees and management.
  • Summarize depositions, testimony, and interrogations.
  • Attend relevant meetings and events.
  • Draft legal documents, including contracts.
