The Aerospace Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Materials Scientist to join our team. As a Materials Scientist, you will work alongside our research and customer program support activities to develop and apply advanced materials and manufacturing techniques to support the development of next-generation space systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and apply advanced materials and manufacturing techniques to support the development of next-generation space systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop new materials and manufacturing processes
- Conduct research and development to improve the performance and reliability of materials used in space systems
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and reports
- Present research and development results to internal and external stakeholders
Requirements:
- PhD in Materials Science or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in materials science or related field
- Strong understanding of materials science principles and applications
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
