Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive physical therapy services to patients of all ages and diagnoses, utilizing independent judgment and clinical expertise.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, incorporating department protocols and sound clinical judgment.
- Administer daily treatments, ensuring patient-specific and age-appropriate care, and make recommendations to physicians as needed.
- Supervise and educate physical therapy assistants and extenders, promoting effective treatment delivery and patient education.
- Document patient evaluations, plans of care, and treatments in the electronic medical record, adhering to established templates and Medicare requirements.
- Participate in ongoing educational activities, including program development, departmental initiatives, and continuing education requirements to maintain licensure.
- Contribute to maintaining productive daily operations, including monitoring productivity metrics, managing schedules, and utilizing ancillary staff efficiently.
- Physical Therapist licensure in Illinois, with proof of application for licensure submitted if out of state.
- BLS CPR Certification.
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance, with patient handling equipment used for heavier lifts or when patients are unable to assist.
