Senior Mechanical Engineer/Team Lead Job Description

Our client, a leading search firm, GPAC, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer/Team Lead to join their team in Dallas. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional to take on a leadership role in exciting projects locally, nationally, and internationally.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead multi-disciplinary teams on projects across various industries, including Government, Healthcare, Science & Technology, University, and Mixed-Use.
  • Participate in recruiting efforts and contribute to the growth of the firm.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering their development and success.
  • Implement sustainable design methods in buildings and prepare green rating system documentation.
  • Design mechanical systems, including heating, cooling, heat rejection, air distribution, ventilation, air conditioning, building automation, and controls.
  • Maintain strong client relationships, ensuring project delivery and repeat business.

Qualifications:

  • Professional Engineering Degree in Engineering from an accredited four-year university.
  • P.E. License is Required.
  • 15+ years of experience in HVAC Design/Engineering.
  • LEED AP BD+C preferred.
  • Familiarity with BIM.
  • Ability to monitor and manage project budgets.
  • Business development capabilities.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in sustainable design.
  • Project Management and supervisor experience preferred.
