Job Summary

CAMS, a leading provider of community association management services, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Facility Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day management of our community's facilities and amenities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Repairs: Oversee and coordinate all maintenance and repair activities for the community's facilities, including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and painting.
  • Facilities Management: Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of all facilities, including pools, laundry rooms, hallways, stairwells, and grill areas.
  • Security and Safety: Monitor and ensure the security and safety of the entire complex, including the enforcement of parking regulations and restrictions.
  • Inventory Management: Perform annual inventory of supplies and equipment, and ensure that all maintenance purchases over $500 are approved by the Community Manager or the Board of Directors.
  • Pool Management: Ensure the pool is clean and well-maintained, including balancing chemicals, adding fresh water, and removing sand, hair, and other debris.
  • Grounds Maintenance: Monitor and maintain the grounds, including the removal of trash and debris, and the identification of maintenance needs.
  • Vendor Management: Monitor and direct vendor activities, including roof repairs, roof chase repairs, and other roof activities.
  • Reporting and Communication: Provide regular reports to the Community Manager and the Board of Directors on maintenance activities, issues, and concerns.
Requirements
  • Facility Management Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in facility management, maintenance, or a related field.
  • Pool Certification: Current pool certification, with a review and renewal every 5 years.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with residents, vendors, and other stakeholders.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve maintenance issues in a timely and effective manner.
Working Conditions

The Facility Manager will work a variable schedule, including 7 AM to 4 PM Tuesday through Thursday, and 8 AM to 5 PM Friday and Saturday, with 2-15 minute breaks and a 1-hour lunch break. The position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of attention to detail and a strong commitment to customer service.
