Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Psychiatric Social Worker to join our team on a weekend basis. As a member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in facilitating continuity of care for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess psychosocial needs and plan discharge follow-up and care appropriate to the patient's level of care.
  • Provide supportive counseling and crisis intervention as needed.
  • Offer patients and their families resources regarding housing and placement, legal issues, and referrals.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Social Work (MSW).
  • Current licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as a Social Worker, or license eligible within six months of hire.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and gather pertinent patient information.
  • Fundamental understanding of personal computers and familiarity with the Windows operating system.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to address complex issues with patient/family and staff across multiple departments.
Preferred Qualifications
  • One year of psychiatric inpatient experience in a social work position.
Weekend Program Details

This role requires a minimum of 24 hours of work per weekend, between Saturday 8 a.m. and Sunday 8 p.m. Scheduled days include observed holidays that occur on a weekend. As a weekend worker, you will be eligible for medical, dental, and vision benefits at the full-time contribution level.
