Job Title

Dental Career Services is seeking a highly skilled Registered Dental Assistant to join our team in Saratoga, CA.

This is a full-time permanent position that requires 2+ years of experience working with a high-volume patient base placing sealants and interim restorations.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for oral health and a desire to learn, with a strong ability to work collaboratively with a dynamic team.

The responsibilities of this role include:

  • Applying pit and fissure sealants
  • Applying interim therapeutic restorations
  • Documenting patient dental history and updates, as well as overall health and medication history
  • Assisting the dentist with supplies and instruments as requested
  • Preparing tables and trays for the dentist with necessary instruments and supplies
  • Cleaning and sterilizing instruments, and preparing treatment rooms as needed
  • Taking high-quality digital radiographs
  • Performing patient charting as instructed by the dentist
  • Welcome patients and get them situated in the appropriate treatment room
  • Assisting the doctor with all dental procedures and patient charting
  • Taking high-quality radiographs
  • Maintaining patient confidentiality through HIPAA compliance
  • Following all OSHA and BBP (Blood borne Pathogen) federal guidelines
  • Assisting hygienist(s) when requested

Requirements for this role include:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
  • Licensed as a Registered Dental Assistant in Extended Functions (RDAEF) in California
  • Current CPR certification preferred
  • Radiology certification required
  • Possess a professional and positive attitude
  • Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA and Infection Control training as required by law
