OSP Foreman

We are seeking an experienced OSP Foreman to manage and supervise our construction projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient execution of our projects, developing work schedules, and sourcing supplies as needed.

• Coordinate daily tasks and prioritize projects based on weather, supply, delivery, and personnel availability.
• Delegate individual responsibilities and projects to crew members and contractors.
• Train, manage, and mentor employees and contractors to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
• Provide adequate resources and staffing to meet project schedules, laws, regulations, best practices, and safety needs.
• Emphasize safe use of tools, machinery, and equipment, and provide training on safety gear, helmets, and procedures.
• Develop and manage project budgets and quality standards for all sites.
• Resolve conflicts or miscommunications quickly and amicably.
• Call in locates and conduct deployments.
• Occasionally conduct mechanical tasks.
• Fill in field positions when necessary.
• Customer contact, which sometimes involves disgruntled customers.
• Manage projects with STS (Sub Terra).
• File daily production reports and vehicle inspections.
• File all damage and incident reports.
• File receipts for Mainstream Fiber Networks and sister company STS (Sub Terra).
• Complete in-field decisions and changes as needed.
• Coordinate tasks between the four divisions of OSP (which are splicing, aerial, underground, and drop).
• Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

• HSD or equivalent education is required.
• 2-4 years' experience as construction or outside plant foreman, or similar role.
• Valid Drivers' Licenses, required.
• OSHA, CPR, or CDL certification/licenses, preferred.
• Able to oversee all operations at a worksite and ensure a safe work environment.
• An in-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and OSHA guidelines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication ability.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, and keen attention to detail.
• Time-management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to understand drawings and blueprints.
• Expert knowledge of the construction industry.
