Position Summary:
We are in search of a dedicated and proactive Dietary Cook who can skillfully prepare meals while enhancing the dining experience for our residents. If you possess a love for culinary arts and thrive in a collaborative setting, this role is ideal for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook meals in accordance with established recipes and dietary needs of long-term care residents.
- Ensure timely meal preparation and present dishes in an appealing manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and dining area.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations to guarantee food quality and resident safety.
- Assist in meal planning and manage inventory effectively.
- Collaborate with the team to create a pleasant dining atmosphere for residents.
Work Schedule:
- Includes working every other weekend and alternating Fridays and Mondays.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience as a cook, ideally in a long-term care or similar environment.
- Ability to accurately follow and execute recipes.
- Strong organizational and time management capabilities.
- Dependable and punctual with a solid work ethic.
- Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with health and safety standards related to food preparation.
