Tact Staff is seeking a highly skilled travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a challenging travel nursing job in Saginaw, Michigan.

The ideal candidate will have experience in direct patient care and demonstrate competent clinical practice. This position requires the ability to triage patients, obtain patient history and vital signs, and assess patients. The travel nurse will work independently to initiate immediate care in the absence of a physician in life-threatening situations. They will provide care for acutely ill and non-acute patients, perform multiple procedures, and assist physicians with their procedures. The travel nurse will also provide comfort, both physical and psychological, to patients, their families, and visitors. They will provide discharge and follow-up instructions to patients and families and answer ambulance radios, giving appropriate orders for pre-hospital care. The travel nurse will work with multiple types of sophisticated equipment and handle various types of patients in a frequently stressful environment.

Facility Specific Requirements

The facility cannot accept local candidates who live within 50 miles of the facility. Candidates must have 2+ years of experience and meet the following profile requirements:

  • Work History
  • Skills Checklist, current to 1 year, pertinent to the specialty
  • 2 Supervisory Reference Forms, taken within the last two years
  • License/Certifications (MI LARA & BLS, ACLS - AHA)
  • Candidates' Permanent Address (Facility will consider local candidates for one 13-week contract, afterwards, they are to go perm- 50-mile radius restriction)

The facility requires the following certifications:

  • ACLS (AHA)
  • BLS (AHA)
About the Facility

The facility is a Department of MyMichigan Medical Center Clare, open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. It offers care for adult and pediatric patients and is staffed by board-certified physicians and nurses with specialized emergency experience. The facility is fully equipped to provide care for all common emergency conditions, including heart attack, stroke, and minor trauma. It also has a telemedicine program that enables patients to receive consultations from neurologists and other specialists at the University of Michigan, for faster decision-making during stroke planning and treatment. The facility has an ambulance entrance and helipad and an adjacent observation unit for patients who require further observation to stay up to 24 hours. The dress code is Navy Blue, and the EMR is Epic.

This client has a rebate of 2% of all billings related to this assignment; passthrough expenses are not subject to any rebates. Please see section of SSP Master Agreement for details.
