We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinical Nurse Coordinator - Oncology to join our team at MountainView Hospital. As a key member of our oncology department, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and coordinating all functions in the unit/department during your designated shift.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care and coordination of all functions in the unit/department during the designated shift.
- Collaborate with other members of the management team to direct, monitor, and evaluate nursing care in accordance with established policies/procedures.
- Serve as a resource person for staff and model a commitment to the organization's vision/mission/values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes.
- Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Participate in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit, in collaboration with other members of the management team.
- Support the efforts of the facility to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.
- Provide recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff, as well as implementing courses of action to ensure a competitively better organization.
- Assist with staff scheduling and manage all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines.
- Support proper inventory control and assist with managing supplies and equipment.
- Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date.
- Bachelor's Degree.
