Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Staff Associate to join our team at Samuel Staffing. As a Medical Staff Associate, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our donors and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct confidential donor interviews to assess suitability for plasma donation, utilizing your expertise in medical history reviews and health assessments.
  • Provide medical responses to staff inquiries, working closely with our Medical Director to ensure accurate and timely information.
  • Notify and counsel donors on test results, referring them for follow-up as needed, and obtain informed consent from donors.
  • Manage immunization programs, ensuring compliance and maintaining accurate records.
  • Maintain a clean and efficient work environment, adhering to safety protocols and conducting audits of procedures and documentation as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all information, upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
Requirements
  • Graduation from a paramedic, nursing, physician assistant, chiropractic, medical, or naturopathic program.
  • Foreign medical graduates must be licensed or certified as EMT.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in healthcare, with a preference for plasma or blood collection experience.
  • Physical assessment skills and ability to educate donors and staff.
Working Conditions
  • Ability to make decisions impacting immediate work.
  • Understand and apply oral/written instructions.
  • See, speak with customers, and observe equipment.
  • Occasional standing, walking, reaching, bending, kneeling; manual dexterity.
  • Occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
  • Fast-paced, interruptive environment; exposure to chemicals and pathogens.
  • Wear PPE as required; overtime may be necessary.
