Job Overview

Mission Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Critical Care Registered Nurse to join our Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) team. As a Traveling Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill patients in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients in the CVICU, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Monitor and manage life-sustaining therapies, such as mechanical ventilation, vasopressors, and dialysis.
  • Perform advanced cardiovascular procedures, including cardiac catheterization and coronary angiography.
  • Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
Requirements
  • Current RN licensure in the state of North Carolina.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a CVICU or CVRU setting.
  • ACLS and BLS certification required.
  • Critical Care training and experience with advanced cardiovascular procedures.
  • High energy and a positive attitude to work in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment

The CVICU at Mission Hospital is a 19-bed unit that provides care to critically ill patients with cardiovascular conditions. The unit is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and has a highly trained team of nurses and physicians.
