Position Overview

As a Junior Kitchen Chef, you will:

  • Embody our core values of Service, Teamwork, Ambition, Responsibility, and Solutions.
  • Collaborate effectively within the kitchen team.
  • Prepare, cook, season, and present menu items according to established recipes.
  • Adhere to all food safety and hygiene protocols, ensuring compliance with HACCP standards.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or issues to the head chef or duty manager.
  • Implement stock rotation practices (FIFO) and manage ordering to minimize waste and financial loss.
  • Solicit feedback from customers and front-of-house staff to continuously enhance food quality and exceed expectations.
  • Maintain cleanliness in all food preparation and service areas by following a 'clean as you go' policy.

Current Compensation

The hourly rate includes a night-time premium for shifts between 12 AM and 8 AM.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a culinary or food preparation environment.
  • Flexibility in working hours to meet business needs.
  • Understanding of HACCP and food safety regulations.
  • Possession of a basic level 2 food safety certification or actively pursuing one.
