Postdoctoral Researcher

We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral research scientist to join our team at the University of Texas at Dallas. As a research associate, you will be responsible for planning, conducting, and directing experiments in computational social science.

The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in a related field and a strong track record of research in computational psychology, natural language processing, or machine learning applications in social science.

The position offers an estimated salary of $61,008+, with opportunities for advancement based on performance and funding availability.

This is a regular full-time position that requires collaboration with a team of researchers, students, and collaborators within and outside the lab. You will work closely with senior researchers and contribute to a growing body of research that applies computational social science to address fundamental questions in personality, social interaction, mental health, and cultural psychology.

You will conduct empirical studies integrating computational and psychological approaches, draw on methods from text analysis, machine learning, and AI, and develop novel tools, algorithms, or pipelines that enable the measurement of psychological phenomena from social and linguistic data.

Your duties will include leading analyses using large-scale data, examining social and personality constructs, employing advanced statistical and machine learning techniques, and communicating complex findings to a broad audience.
