Position Overview
The primary responsibility of this role is to assist customers with their healthcare needs and enhance health outcomes by managing prescriptions, delivering clinical services, providing therapy recommendations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and overseeing pharmacy staff.

Independent judgment is frequently required. The incumbent must perform all duties safely and in accordance with Rite Aid policies, as well as state and federal regulations.

Additionally, the incumbent is expected to execute all responsibilities in alignment with Rite Aid's brand strategy and adhere to our core values and service standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with customers seeking advice on both pharmacological and non-pharmacological health management options, utilizing provided clinical tools and delivering information in their preferred communication style. (15% of time)
  • Provide clinical pharmacy services in compliance with state regulations, including adherence support, immunizations, medication therapy management (MTM), point-of-care testing (POCT), and diagnostic testing to enhance patient therapeutic outcomes. (15% of time)
  • Utilize products and services to benefit customers while fostering a profitable retail business and increasing prescription growth. (15% of time)
  • Ensure the accuracy and appropriateness of all filled prescriptions by conducting Drug Utilization Reviews and Final Quality Assurance in accordance with DEA, State, and Federal Board of Pharmacy regulations. (15% of time)
  • Deliver appropriate patient care through in-person, telephonic, or digital interactions, collaborating with healthcare providers and patient care teams to focus on health and wellness outcomes. (10% of time)
  • Assist the Pharmacy Manager in supervising pharmacy operations by providing leadership to pharmacy associates, overseeing their training, and offering coaching and performance feedback. (10% of time)
  • Address and resolve customer issues to ensure satisfaction. (5% of time)
  • Complete required certifications, education, and training, including Whole Being Health, traditional medicine, holistic wellness, and alternative therapies. (5% of time)
  • Maintain the security of the Pharmacy department. (5% of time)
  • Ensure adherence to Standard Work for all activities and processes.

Qualifications
Pay Rate: $65.00/hour
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy (Required)
Doctorate in Pharmacy (Preferred)
Licenses/Certifications:
Pharmacist License in the state of practice (Required)
Immunization Certification (Required)
CPR Certification (Required)
