Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Interventional Radiologic Technologist to perform a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures, including cardiovascular and interventional radiology. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in radiologic technology, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including cardiovascular and interventional radiology, using a variety of imaging modalities.
- Position and transfer patients, use immobilization devices as required, and select proper technical factors.
- Operate equipment as directed, provide patient protection in accordance with prescribed safety standards, and assist physicians in the administering of contrast media.
- Assist physicians during invasive and/or non-invasive diagnostic imaging procedures, assure the technical quality and the proper functioning of equipment, injectors, scanners, and workstations.
- Instruct students and ancillary personnel, assist in the use of a variety of equipment or procedures, and maintain an effective working relationship with patients, visitors, departmental, and hospital staff.
- Evaluate new products and equipment for possible future use, participate in developing new techniques and procedures, and prepare preliminary reports as determined by lead medical personnel.
- Three years as a Radiologic Technologist, including one year of recent experience in Interventional Radiology (IR) is desired but not required.
- Possession of a valid license to practice as a Certified Radiologic Technologist in the State of California (CRT) is required.
- Possession of valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certificates issued by the American Heart Association is required.
- Certification in Cardiovascular - Interventional Radiography (CV) or Cardiac - Interventional Radiography (CI) issued by ARRT or as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) issued by the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) is preferred but not required.
