Maintenance Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Apartment Management Consultants. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and upkeep of our property buildings and grounds.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the daily repair and upkeep of the property, including preparation of vacant units for occupancy
  • Manage and maintain an inventory of all supplies and equipment
  • Ensure necessary tools are on hand and secure the maintenance shop(s) at the close of every workday
  • Remove snow and ice as necessary and handle all lock-outs as a result of evictions
  • Be available to work on an on-call basis and respond to service requests in a timely manner

Requirements:

  • Ability to operate various hand tools, including power tools
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions
  • Effective communication skills and knowledge in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical
  • Property maintenance/handyman experience and a passion for delivering exceptional results
