Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Design Specialist to join our team at TechServ Engineering & Consulting. As an Electrical Design Specialist, you will play a critical role in creating high-quality designs for new projects, alterations, and redevelopments on a variety of electrical distribution, transmission, and substation design projects.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate with project teams to develop designs that meet client requirements and company standards.
  2. Use drafting software to create detailed designs, including electrical schematics, grid plan layouts, and site design.
  3. Analyze complex engineering tasks, specifications, and inspections to ensure designs meet industry standards.
  4. Coordinate and organize revisions of project drawings, plot files, and drawings for production work.
  5. Work with leaders and team members to facilitate/support internal change efforts to increase organizational effectiveness.
  6. Assist with the set-up of projects in applicable project management systems.
  7. Develop proposals, work plans, budgets, and project scheduling as well as assist with managing each deliverable.
  8. Organize and maintain project files and client deliverables and project communications.
  9. Responsible for accurate data entry on projects.
Requirements
  • Must currently be eligible to work in the United States of America.
  • High School Graduate or GED, required.
  • College degree or some college course, preferred.
  • Entry-Level Position; 0-2 years of utility design experience.
  • Willingness to learn and effectively utilize new design software programs.
  • Perform routine tasks independently (electrical schematics, grid plan layouts, and site design).
