Key Responsibilities- Collect and deposit funds from site events, such as ticket sales, yearbook purchases, and club fundraisers.
- Compile financial information related to site assignments, including gift and donation funds, student activity funds, and tax credit funds.
- Maintain accurate financial records, including financial reports and statements.
- Monitor financial procedures and ensure compliance with district policies and regulations.
- Order school-wide inventory for gifts and donations, student activity funds, and tax credit funds.
- Perform general and program-specific clerical functions, including distributing purchase orders, scheduling, and copying.
- Prepare written materials and financial information for documentation and reference purposes.
- Process financial information, including ticket cash boxes, tax credit/donations, and check requisitions.
- Reconcile financial data related to student accounts and ensure accurate account balances.
- Respond to inquiries from staff, students, parents, and administration regarding student and site financial procedures.
- Job-related experience is required.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Ability to work under direct supervision using standardized routines.
- Ability to lead, guide, and/or coordinate others.
- Ability to utilize resources from other work units as needed.
The Accounting Clerk position requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling, and significant fine finger dexterity. The job is performed in a generally hazard-free environment and in a clean atmosphere.
