Job Summary and Qualifications

Required Education:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing or enrollment in a BSN or advanced degree program with the goal of obtaining a BSN within five years of hire into the RN position.
  • Grandfathering is accepted between departments and Mission Health entities.
  • Exemptions or extensions may be approved by the facility CNO and reported to the CNO Council members.
  • Each facility will ensure tracking of exemptions as needed. RNs with ten years or more of experience are exempt.

Preferred Education: Master’s in Nursing.

Required License/Certifications:

  • Must possess and maintain current licensure as a registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. eNLC (Enhanced Nurse License Compact) license may apply; licensee should confirm with NCBON.
  • Certification: BLS Healthcare Provider.
  • Preferred License/Certifications: National Certification in the area of specialty.

Required Experience: One year of hospital nursing experience.

This position requires full vaccination for COVID-19 in accordance with local, state, and/or federal laws or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
