We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Graduate Practical Nurse to join our team at Hudson Park Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

Job Summary

The Graduate Practical Nurse will work under the direction of the nurse manager or registered nurse to perform a broad range of nursing functions, including administering medications and other related protocols and assignments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer medications and other treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care, including nursing notes and charges
  • Supervise and oversee the activities of subordinate staff, including CNAs, and make daily assignments and schedules
  • Observe and document changes in patient condition, and report observations and recommendations to the supervisor
  • Assist with meal service and ensure residents are comfortable and meals are delivered in the prescribed manner
  • Participate in orientation and training of new staff and other administrative assignments as requested
  • Follow standards of nursing practice, policies and procedures related to medications, documentation, treatments and resident care
  • Keep Head Nurse/Supervisor informed of resident, family or staff issues
  • Attend required education programs within the facility and assign unit staff to attend programs
  • Follow infection control and safety policies and procedures
  • Follow BHNRC's Corporate Compliance Regulations
Requirements
  • Must have up-to-date MMR vaccination and physical
  • Must show proof of ATT number
