PH - Switcher FT

Job Summary: As a Switcher at FedEx, you will be responsible for performing trailer switches, communicating with management and central control, and documenting trailer moves.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform trailer switches by hooking and moving a parked trailer from the yard to a load/unload door or hooking and moving a trailer from a door to the yard.
- Communicate with management and/or central control to coordinate trailer movements in the yard.
- Document trailer moves using the Yard Management System (where available) or switcher cards.
- Perform pre- and post-trip inspections on switcher equipment.
- Understand and demonstrate effective yard switching safety processes and procedures.

Additional Responsibilities:

- Perform Package Handler essential functions such as Loading and Unloading packages and/or Lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling packages.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull packages.
