Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Polysomnographic Technologist to join our team at Ascension Sacred Heart. As a Polysomnographic Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic sleep studies, preparing patients and equipment for testing, and interpreting results.

Responsibilities
  • Perform basic and advanced diagnostic sleep studies
  • Prepare patient and equipment for ordered testing
  • Interview patient to determine sleep disorder issues and explain testing procedures
  • Perform and document testing, monitor patient throughout testing, and intervene as necessary
  • Collect, analyze, and integrate patient information to identify and meet patient-specific needs
  • Score, interpret, and report results of sleep studies
  • Prepare, calibrate, repair, and maintain equipment required for testing
Requirements
  • BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date
  • One or more of the following certifications: Cert Polysomnographic Tech, Reg Polysomnographic Tchnlgst, Respiratory Care Practitioner, Respiratory Therapist, Sleep Technician
  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience or Associate's degree/Technical degree or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience
