Investment Risk Analyst

Securian Financial Group, a leading insurance and investment solutions provider, is seeking an experienced Investment Risk Manager to join its Asset Management team. This role requires a deep understanding of investment risk principles and strategies, strong analytical skills, and effective communication abilities.
Main Responsibilities:- Develop and implement an investment risk monitoring framework to efficiently track risks within specific asset classes and across the entire client portfolio.
- Leverage data analysis and industry-standard risk metrics to monitor and report on investment risks.
- Collaborate with the investment, data, and leadership teams to build a comprehensive understanding of investment risk attributes and guidelines.
- Initiate notification processes when risk attributes exceed established thresholds.
- Conduct stress testing and scenario analysis to evaluate potential impacts on portfolios.
- Partner with Securian's Enterprise Risk Management Team to incorporate investment risk controls into the broader enterprise risk management view.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in risk management within the asset management or insurance industry, with a focus on credit risk
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with demonstrated aptitude for leveraging data and systems to produce effective monitoring and reporting
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with ability to collaborate and gain buy-in across various teams
