Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessment and Consultation: Conduct comprehensive assessments of students' skills and abilities, including oral motor, sensory, integration, motor planning, fine motor skills, developmental function, reflex, and range of motion.
  • Reporting and Communication: Create detailed reports describing the results of assessments and provide clear interpretations to parents and IEP teams.
  • Collaboration and Consultation: Work with students' families and staff to implement educational programs that promote the development of motor skills.
  • Progress Monitoring: Regularly monitor students' progress and inform parents and teachers of any changes or developments.
  • IEP Participation: Participate in IEP meetings to develop and update short-term and long-term goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • Licenses and Certifications: Texas state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
